Spring 2012 - Present

During my internship I developed social media campaigns and giveaways to promote events and advertise for all 17 athletic teams. I collaborated with colleagues and we worked as a team to implement new advertising strategies to increase attendance and enhance game-day experience for fans. I was the lead intern for WSU volleyball during the 2013 season and was responsible for overseeing and assisting all marketing efforts during season. I exceeded expectations by achieving several attendance records including a total season attendance of 13,426 fans, a 13% increase in the overall attendance average and a 154% increase in the average student attendance from the 2012 season.

Last summer I worked in the Seattle headquarters office for Avanade Inc. I was part of the Corporate Communications team and I worked with almost everyone on the team via different projects. The projects ranged from analytical competitor research, digital marketing, branding, recruitment and event marketing to our sponsorship and partnership with Lotus F1 Team. The biggest project I was a part of was TechSummit, Avanade’s largest internal in person training event. I helped manage the interactive Lotus F1 Team simulator, assisted with filmed interviews and managed the yammer account. I became proficient in the Microsoft platform including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Avanade is a very digital company and I learned to work around time zones, communicate digitally and via Lync conference calls.
